This West River house has a spectacular
waterfront view.
When the owner decided to expand, he wanted to hire an architectural
firm that would ensure the home maintained the structure's cozy charm.
Halpern Architects carefully planned rebuilding a new 1400 square foot
home on the footprint of the 900 square foot cottage.
Surrounded on three sides by water, Halpern Architects knew taking advantage of the view was the owner's top priority. The main level features a double-height family room with a stacked stone fireplace, and an open floor plan that combines the kitchen, dining room and great room. The bedroom overlooks the great room and has a spectacular water view. Halpern Architects designed the home with inviting interiors, using materials carefully chosen for durability and natural beauty. Traditionally proportioned but oversized windows were installed, allowing the owner to look out in three directions for maximum waterfront views. | ||
